Forty foreign envoys and international press members boarded the Taichung MRT for a Saturday tour of the 2022 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival — a Tiger Year iteration spread across Wenxin Forest Park and adjacent grounds. The delegation, organized in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented thirteen countries.
The diplomats arrived at Wenxin Senlin Park station shortly after noon, walking the short distance to the main Tiger Ya! display: a 70-foot animatronic tiger that has anchored marketing imagery for the festival since its lighting in mid-February. The festival was scheduled to run February 12 through February 20.

But the tour also wove in a quieter narrative — Taichung's ongoing canal renewal along the Lyuchuan, and the restored colonial-era guest house at the Taichung City Hall complex. Several envoys remarked on the contrast between the festival's spectacle and the city's restoration work, calling it indicative of a confident urban moment.

使節團午後抵達文心森林公園捷運站，步行前往主燈「老虎牙」展區。這座約70呎高的機械虎燈自2月中旬點燈以來，已成為本屆燈會的代表性意象。燈會期間為2月12日至2月20日。
